An Indian Army plane that was carrying the mortal remains of the Assam Rifles personnel who were martyred in a militant attack in Manipur on Saturday made an emergency landing in Assam’s Jorhat on Sunday.
According to the Ministry of Defence’s public relations officer (PRO) in Guwahati, the plane made an emergency landing at Jorhat airport due to a technical snag. The bodies will be kept overnight in Jorhat and then be taken to their respective destinations on Monday, the PRO said.
