More snow on the way as weather warning in effect for parts of southern Alberta

Snowfall warnings are in place for the southern part of the province, as regions are expected to get snow Friday.
Areas near the U.S.-Canada border are expected to see snowfall. In a weather warning issued Thursday, Environment and Climate Change Canada said heavy snow with total amounts of 10 to 20 cm is anticipated.
Environment Canada also issued a fog advisory for Calgary and areas north and northwest of the city, including Airdrie, Cochrane, Olds and Sundre.
"Dense fog patches have developed and are causing near zero visibility in some areas. Conditions will improve later this morning," the agency said.
After the fog lifts around noon, it's expected to start snowing in Calgary, with an accumulation of about 5 cm.
Areas south and east of the city are expected to see heavier snowfall. Communities under a snowfall warning are:
"Snow will begin early Friday morning and continue through the day before tapering off Friday night," Environment Canada said.
The area of Cypress Hills Provincial Park - Foremost is also expected to see a winter storm with heavy, blowing snow Friday.
Environment Canada said the heaviest snow will fall Friday afternoon and evening.
Snow will taper off on Saturday, the agency said.
