Around seven people are dead and more than two lakh are displaced from homes in six flood-hit districts of West Bengal.
The monsoon has hit several parts of India like wildfire. In West Bengal, floods have claimed around seven lives, while nearly 2.5 lakh have been displaced from their homes, revealed a senior state government official. On Monday, the Army and the Air Force undertook rescue and relief operations in the Hooghly district, most of which is submerged due to excess rainfall.
