Money Heist: Korea - Joint Economic Area Part 1 is the remake of hit Spanish crime drama, Money Heist. The new show will release on June 24.
The makers of Money Heist: Korea - Joint Economic Area Part 1 have announced the series’ release date and we can’t keep calm. It is the remake of Netflix's Money Heist, whose Spanish title was La Casa de Papel. It became a global phenomenon, and now, the Korean version is ready to take you on a thrilling ride. The new series will release on June 24.
Money Heist’s Korean remake with Squid Game’s Park Hae-soo was announced in December last year. Now the makers have shared release date announcement video. While the Spanish Money Heist featured masks depicting the face of artist Salvador Dalí, Money Heist: Korea - Joint Economic Area Part 1 teaser video revealed a traditional Korean Hahoe mask.

Squid Game’s Park Hae-soo had announced Money Heist’s Korean remake. The actor showed the Korean Hahoe mask and said, “In the Korean version, we also have a special mask. When we show it next year, I’ll give one to Pedro too. It is an honour for me to participate in such a wonderful series, and above all, make Berlin an amazing character. In the past five years, fans from around the world have shown their love for the series. I hope our Korean version also receives your love and support.”
The cast includes original characters like Professor (Yoo Ji-tae), Berlin (Park Hae-soo), Tokyo (Jun Jong-seo), Moscow (Lee Won-jong), Denver (Kim Ji-hun), Nairobi (Jang Yoon-ju), Rio (Lee Hyun-woo), Helsinki (Kim Ji-hoon), and Oslo (Lee Kyu-ho).
