MoI to intensify foot patrols during Eid holidays

Foot patrols will be intensified during the Eid Al Fitr holidays, especially around commercial complexes to ensure implementation of the preventive measures approved by the Cabinet related to wearing face masks, social distancing, installing of Ehteraz, and other restrictions. 

Speaking to Qatar TV, Lieutenant-Colonel Masoud Al Qahtani, the head of the Ehteraz Unit at the National Command Centre said that most of the violations recorded are related to not wearing of face masks. “We have dedicated field teams to follow up on the implementation of preventive measures. Their job would be around the clock, and it is to ensure that preventive measures are applied, whether in public places, beaches, or in the majlis. Violators will be referred to public prosecution,” said Lt. Col Al Qahtani said.
