Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has promised strict action against those behind the rocket-propelled grenade attack on the Pubjab Police's Intelligence Wing in Mohali.
Hours after an explosion rocked the Intelligence Wing headquarters of Punjab Police in Mohali, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said a probe has been launched and strict action will be taken against the perpetrators.
“Police is investigating the blast in Mohali. Those who tried to vitiate the atmosphere in our Punjab will not be spared,” Mann said in a tweet.
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor and Delhi Chief Minister also took a strong stance over the incident and tweeted, “The Mohali blast is the cowardly act of those who want to disturb the peace in Punjab. AAP’s Punjab government will not allow those peoples’ wishes to be fulfilled. Peace will be maintained under all circumstances with the cooperation of all the people of Punjab and the culprits will be punished severely.”
