Mohali Attack: Punjab Police questions key accused Chadat Singh’s wife

Punjab Police picked up the wife of the prime accused Chadat Singh for questioning in the Mohali attack case. The accused is still absconding.
The prime accused in the Mohali RPG attack case, Chadat Singh of Mehdipur village located near Khemkaran town in Taran-Taran district, is still at large.
His accomplices, Mohammed Nasim Ahmed and Mohammed Sharifraj ,according to the sources, have been nabbed from Noida but their arrest has not been made public.They originally hail from Bihar.
Chadat Singh's village Mehdipur is located nearly three km from the Indo-Pak border. He was convicted of murder eight years back and has been sentenced to 10 years. He was on a 56 day parole and was expected to return to jail on May 8. Punjab police have now picked up his wife Rajveer Kaur for questioning.
Often blaming BSF for the drone sorties, Punjab Police is also in the dock for having failed to check the movement of attackers who travelled 220 km with the deadly RPG , arms and ammunition.
Police investigations have shown that the attackers had received RPG and launcher 15 days prior to the attack.
As reported by India Today in the past, RPG alongwith rocket launcher was airdropped using drones at Tarn Taran. The RPG was received by Nishan Singh, who later handed it over to the attackers, including Chadat Singh ,Mohammed Nasim Ahmed and Mohammed Sharifraj.
