Mobility hit as Covid cases surge in India's big cities

A sudden rise in Covid cases has once again hit daily activity in big cities and it is reflected in the mobility trend. The Apple mobility trend shows that mobility in all these cities has been hit and there is a fall in movement.

As India reports over 2.5 lakh cases in a day, nearly one-third of them are only from six major cities Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru, Kolkata and Chennai. These six cities recorded a total of 85,693 cases on January 13, 2022.
