Mob protests against Laal Singh Chadhha screening at Delhi mall, cops step in

A mob created a ruckus at a multiplex in Dwarka, Delhi, during the screening of Laal Singh Chaddha. Police present in the mall intervened and drove them away.
During the screening of Aamir Khan-starrer Laal Singh Chaddha at mall in Dwarka, Delhi, a Hindu fringe group started protesting against the film and the Lagaan star. Directed by Advait Chandan, the film released in theatres on Thurday, August 11.
Before the release of the Aamir Khan film, Boycott Laal Singh Chaddha was trending on Twitter. Now, a mob protested against the film and Aamir Khan at a mall in Dwarka. Heavy police forces and paramilitary personnel were already present there as a mock drill was supposed to be held in the mall to test the security preparedness for August 15. The police immediately overpowered the mob and dispersed the protesters.
Talking about Laal Singh Chaddha, it is the official Hindi remake of the Hollywood film, Forrest Gump, featuring Tom Hanks. The Advait Chandan directorial also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan and Mona Singh. It marks the Bollywood debut of South actor Naga Chaitanya. Laal Singh Chaddha was earlier scheduled for Baisakhi release, but the makers postponed the film's release date to August 11, 2022.
