Four police personnel, including two female cops, were injured in stone-pelting by a mob when the Ambala Police went to arrest a drug smuggler in the Deha Colony of the city.

The team was led by SHO Naresh Kumar of Cantt Sadar police station. The injured personnel includes the Housing Board Outpost Incharge, Balkar Singh.
Based on specific information, a police team reached the area to arrest a woman drug smuggler.
As soon as the woman raised an alarm, the residents of the colony were agitated and started pelting stones at the police and she managed to escape.
Eventually, the police succeeded in arresting the husband and son of the accused, who were also involved in smuggling.
A search is underway to nab the absconding woman and a case has been registered against her husband and son.
