Parambrata Chatterjee is one of the biggest stars in the Bengali film industry. Apart from making a mark in Bengali cinema, the actor has done outstanding work in Hindi films. He was recently seen in the web series, Mithya, with Huma Qureshi. Though the series was about a professor and her student, Mithya also shed light on the topic of infidelity. Now, in an exclusive interview with IndiaToday.in, Parambrata Chatterjee shared his thoughts on the same.
Parambrata Chatterjee plays Huma Qureshi's husband in Mithya. Talking about infidelity, the actor told IndiaToday.in, "By nature, human beings are prone to polygamy and infidelity. But when two people enter an understanding, it can be like a romantic partnership. It can also be marriage. When two people enter that, there is an unsaid understanding that we will be sharing ourselves with each other, nobody else. For many reasons, maybe if the relationship is not going well, the partnership or marriage is not working well, infidelity happens."
The Mithya star discussed how couples deal with infidelity. "It depends on the two people whether they accept it as a momentary mistake or they think that we have made a mistake, so we should end our relationship, partnership or marriage," said Parambrata.
Further, he shared his thoughts on open relationships. The actor added, "There is a third option - where people today are living in open relationships. Here we are great friends, partners and we are husband and wife as well. But then, as far as exploring sexuality is concerned, hum ek dusre pe aisa claim nahi rakhenge. We will only be exploring sexuality with each other. We will be open to that. It depends on individuals on how they see life."
Mithya was released on February 18 on Zee5.
