North Carolina authorities found missing Fayetteville woman Heather Williams deceased in a wooded area on Jan. 10, six days after she was reported missing on Jan. 4.
"On Friday, January 10, 2025, during a follow-up to the investigation of a missing and endangered person Fayetteville Police Department Detectives were led to a wooded area near Newark Ave and State Ave. There a deceased individual was located," FPD said in a press release at the time. The woman was identified as Williams, and FPD's Homicide Unit is investigating.
