Missing child named ‘Lockdown’ rescued in Chennai, three men arrested

A one-and-a-half year old child named ‘Lockdown’ went missing from Ambattur in Chennai on February 6. A bus driver found the baby inside the bus on February 8 and told the police, who reunited the parents with their child.
A one-and-a-half-year-old child named ‘Lockdown’ that went missing on Sunday, February 6, was traced by the Chennai police and rescued on Tuesday, February 8. Three men from Cuddalore were arrested in connection with the case on Thursday, February 10.
The child belongs to a couple from Odisha who are staying in Ambattur. The couple were working in an under-construction building.
On Sunday, the child went missing. The couple filed a complaint with Ambattur police that their baby named ‘Lockdown’ was missing from the place where they were staying.
After registering the complaint, Chennai police circulated the child's photo to all the police stations in the city.
On Tuesday, February 8, a bus driver in Koyambedu bus depot found a baby inside the bus and informed the Koyembedu police about it.
Koyembedu police discovered that the baby found on the bus was the missing child, Lockdown. Shortly after that, the baby was handed over to the Odisha couple.
On Thursday, February 10, Ambattur police traced and arrested three people in connection with the missing child's case. Officials used CCTV visuals from the area where the child went missing to trace the culprits. The three were nabbed from Cuddalore and further investigation is still underway.
