A group of miscreants allegedly barged into a house and burned a Bible in Karnataka's Chitradurga district.
A group of miscreants allegedly barged into a house at Mallenu village in Hiriyur Taluk in Chitradurga district of Karnataka on Tuesday evening and set a Bible on fire.
It is being said that a group of four men entered Ekantamma, a 62-year-old lady's house, questioned those who were inside as to why they were holding prayers in the house and burnt the Bible.
Parashurama, the SP of Chitradurga said, "Ekantamma, a 62-year-old lady went to a Church in Hiriyur because she was not feeling well. She also informed her father, Rama Naik. The people from the Church went to Ekantamma's house in the evening and held prayers. When they were on their way back home, atleast four men created a ruckus and asked them why they were holding prayers in the house."
The SP added, "Ekantamma hasn't registered a case yet, we have also called Rama Naik and we will ask him if he wants to lodge a complaint, if not we will file a preventive case."
