Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (MoECC) announced today, June 23, via its X account the confiscation of four Canis lupus wolves (Gray wolves) at Abu Samra Port.
The animals were seized due to the lack of proper import documentation, as required under Law No. 5 of 2006, which regulates the trade in endangered species and their products.
The Wildlife Development Department emphasized the necessity for owners of endangered animals to secure official certificates for their animals before traveling, whether entering or leaving the country.
