Ministry refers over 260 to prosecution for violating Covid-19 precautionary measures

Doha: Ministry of Interior (MoI) officials have intensified efforts to take action against individuals violating various Covid-19 precautionary measures in the country and have reported 268 violations in the country. 

225 were booked for not wearing masks in public while one was found violating the limit allowed in a vehicle, which is specified as four persons, including the driver, except for members of the same family.  The Ministry officials also referred 18 people for not maintaining safe physical distancing and three for not installing the Ehteraz application. Officials also booked 9 for gathering in closed places.
