The Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE) Wednesday announced a set of Covid precautionary measures for the academic year 2022-23. The ministry in a press release listed the following measures that are taken in light of the current health indicators of the virus, and in coordination with the Ministry of Public Health: * All the staff (administrative, teaching, and students) in all government and private nurseries, kindergartens, and schools must take the Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) at home or at one of the designated centres no later than 48 hours before the start of school year. It should be noted that this examination is only required once, at the start of the academic year, and not on a weekly basis. * To gain entrance to schools and higher education institutions, you must show a negative test result, and if the result is positive, you must visit the nearest health centre and follow the precautionary measures established in this regard. * According to the Council of Ministers' decision, all the staff (administrative and teaching, as well as students) must commit to wearing masks while in schools and higher education institutions, as well as in their various facilities. * Employees' commitment to show Ehteraz app (in Green) before entering schools and higher education institutions. The Ministry affirmed its keenness and commitment to continuing the educational process and adapting to all circumstances, with particular emphasis on the commitment to implement precautionary measures for students and administrative and teaching staff in accordance with the approved protocols. MoEHE also encouraged parents and students to take precautionary measures to protect their health in order to keep the educational process running smoothly on a regular basis.
