Minister's Son, Accused Of Running Over Farmers In UP, Summoned By Cops

This is the first time the police will be questioning the son of Junior Union Minister Ajay Mishra. An FIR against him was filed on Monday.

Ashish Mishra -- accused of murder in the farmer deaths at UP's Lakhimpur Kheri -- has been summoned for questioning, sources in the state police said, adding more action against him will follow. The summons came as the Supreme Court asked the state on arrests and action taken in the matter.

"Summons have been issued to Ashish and he has been asked for questioning soon as possible and more action against him will follow," a source said.
