The internet was flooded with Middle Class memes after Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented Budget 2022.
As Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the Union Budget 2022 on February 1, social media users kept themselves busy creating hilarious memes that soon sent the internet into an overdrive. #Budget2022 and #IncomeTax are the top trends on Twitter but the internet, however, is having a field day sharing ‘Middle Class’ memes as the phrase also occupied a top spot on the trends list.
While presenting the Union Budget, Nirmala Sitharaman did not announce any new changes in tax slabs for personal income tax category. It was expected that some incremental changes will be introduced to the current income tax regime, but, no significant change was announced.
In order to capture the middle class section's response to the Budget, social media users created funny memes featuring Hindi film scenes and jokes.
