After defending champions Mumbai Indians (MI) dropped their middle-order batsman Ishan Kishan from their XI versus Rajasthan Royals (RR) in New Delhi on Thursday, former West Indies captain Brian Lara expressed his unhappiness and said that the team should have dropped wicketkeeper-batsman Quinton de Kock also in that case. The batting great pointed at that Mumbai lost 2 out of their 5 matches in the Chennai leg and each of their batsmen struggled. He marked that South African Quinton de Kock continues to get chances despite Chris Lynn scoring runs in his absence. Notably, due to the quarantine rules, Lynn got a chance to play in place of de Kock and grabbed the opportunity by slamming 49 and top-scoring for MI against RCB in the opener. De Kock walked straight in the team after completing his quarantine period, scoring 2, 40, 2 and 3 respectively in his next 4 matches.More Related News
