
Met warns of thundery rain, strong winds Friday night

Weather inshore Friday night until 6am Saturday will be slightly dusty and partly cloudy to cloudy with chance of rain that can be thundery at first, the Department of Meteorology said in its daily weather report. Offshore, it will be hazy and cloudy to partly cloudy with chance of scattered rain maybe thundery at times, the report added. Wind inshore will be northwesterly to northeasterly at a speed of 5 to 15 knot gusting to 30 knot during thundery rain. Offshore, it will be northwesterly 10 to 20 knot gusting to 35 knot during thundery rain. Visibility will be 04 to 08/03 kilometer or less during thundery rain. Sea state inshore will be 2 to 4 feet rises to 5 feet at times. Offshore, it will be 3 to 6 feet rises to 11 feet during thundery rain.
