Mehul Choksi’s deportation to India unlikely for at least next one month

Sources said that absconding diamond trader may not be brought back to India at least for the next one month. At present, two courts in Dominica are hearing separate cases related to Mehul Choksi.
Mehul Choksi, the absconding diamond trader, is unlikely to come to India at-least for next one month, sources said. The diamantaire, who is facing his possible deportation to India, is being heard by two courts of Dominica in two separate matters. Sources say, till the time both the cases are not settled, Mehul Choksi won’t be deported to India. In one of the cases filed by Mehul Choksi, the High Court has to decide if Mehul Choksi was arrested illegally by the Dominican Police and to which country he should be sent back. In another case, the Magistrate Court is hearing the matter of Mehul Choksi’s alleged illegal entry into their country.
