Meghalaya Home Minister Lahkmen Rymbui resigned on Sunday amid violence in Shillong over the police shooting of a former militant.
Meghalaya Home Minister Lahkmen Rymbui tendered his resignation on Sunday, citing the encounter of former General Secretary of militant group HNLC Chesterfield Thangkhiew on August 13. In his letter to Chief Minister Conrad Sangma, Rymbui expressed his shock and proposed a judicial enquiry be conducted into the death of Cheristerfield Thangkhiew.More Related News
