After the Centre's ban, the Popular Front of India (PFI) faced a mega digital crackdown as Twitter took down its official account on Thursday.
A day after the Centre banned the Popular Front of India (PFI) and its eight associated fronts for five years, the radical outfit faced a mega digital crackdown as Twitter took down its official account on Thursday.
The Centre ordered the blocking of websites and social media accounts of the Popular Front of India (PFI) and its eight affiliates to prevent them from propagating their activities after they were banned under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA).
The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on Wednesday banned the radical outfit for their alleged role in terror funding and links to global terror groups. The Centre's action came after the second round of crackdown by central probe agencies on PFI functionaries across different states.
Over 250 PFI members/workers were arrested during the two raids and several incriminating documents were seized.
