A team at Google's in-house incubator has come up with a new app named Stack that helps scan and organise document using AI. The app reads into the documents for specifics and categorises them accordingly on its own.
If you have done any file work using your smartphone recently, you would know that one of the most handy features on the devices is that of scanning documents. Several third-party apps have tried to make the task as easy and efficient as it can be. An in-house Google team now does the same with a new app dedicated to the cause. Google's Area 120 incubator has developed a new application called Stack. In addition to scanning capabilities, the app comes with inbuilt AI that helps the users keep track of the documents they scan. With this, users can keep a record of all their documents and categorise or find them when the need arises. The app does this by essentially reading the document and letting the AI decide which category it falls into. For the categorisation, the app also looks at important details on the document, including dates, amounts, and account numbers. The purpose is better organisation - to make it easier for the user to look for the document in the future.More Related News
