The great grand-nephew of the first Asian-American elected to the US Congress, Daleep Singh is the Biden administration's point person on economic sanctions.
Daleep Singh, US Deputy National Security Adviser, made headlines on Thursday when, during a state visit to India, he said that New Delhi should not expect Moscow to come to its rescue if China violates the Line of Actual Control (LAC) once again.
"And the more leverage that China gains over Russia, the less favourable that is for India. I don't think anyone would believe that if China once again breaches the Line of Actual Control, Russia would come running to India's defence," Daleep Singh told reporters in New Delhi.
The Biden administration's point person on international sanctions, Daleep Singh, made the remarks following a meeting with Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla.

The senior Biden administration official’s visit coincided with a number of high-profile visits, including that of UK Foreign Secretary Liz Truss and German Foreign and Security Policy Advisor Jens Plotner.
Daleep Singh is the Deputy National Security Advisor for international economics and Deputy Director of the National Economic Council in the Biden administration.
