Makkah Al-Mukarramah: All members of the medical unit escorting the Qatari Hajj Mission have arrived at the Holy lands. The mission includes 36 medical practitioners, nurses, paramedics, and pharmacists so as to embark on providing comprehensive health care for the pilgrims of the State of Qatar during their stay at the accommodation compounds in Makkah Al-Mukarramah and when they perform Hajj rituals in the Holy Sites, namely Mina, Arafat and Muzdalifah.
The medical unit comprises a variety of specializations, such as internal medicine, cardiology, communicable diseases, emergency, ear, nose, and throat, first aid, and nursing. Also, the unit is escorted by a top-notch ambulance vehicle with world-class health capabilities.
The medical unit operates in collaboration with the professional health authorities in the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and is set to finalize the establishment of clinics in Mina, Arafat and Muzdalifah, during the coming days, to be in full swing to provide distinguished and comprehensive health care for the pilgrims of the State of Qatar. The unit will mobilize medical plans and personnel to provide health services in Muzdalifah and ensure that pilgrims are safe during the whole period of rites until the end of pilgrimage season.
Head of the medical mission, pharmacists and nursery unit have early arrived in the Holy lands to embark on finalizing all preparations and equipping the clinics at the mission's premises in Makkah Al-Mukarramah, as well as Mina, Arafat and Muzdalifah.
The task is conducted in collaboration with Qatar's Ministry of Public Health, Hamad Medical Corporation and Primary Health Care Corporation since they are operating lockstep with the Qatar's Ministry of Endowments in providing services to the pilgrims of Qatar, in coordination with professional medical authorities in Saudi Arabia.
