A Bridgeport, Connecticut, family that was critical of the police response and investigation into the death of their loved one is disputing the medical examiner's ruling that she died of natural causes.
Brenda Lee Rawls, 53, died December 12, 2021, of cardiovascular disease with diabetes as a contributing factor, the Connecticut Office of the Chief Medical Examiner said this week.
