McConnell Opposes Insurrection Commission Proposal

More than 400 people have been charged in connection with the insurrection, which Republicans have started to downplay. Five people died.

The top Republican in the Senate says he opposes a bipartisan bill that would launch an investigation into the January 6th riots at the Capitol.  Mitch McConnell said, "After careful consideration, I've made the decision to oppose the House Democrats slanted and unbalanced proposal for another commission to study the events of January 6th." The 9-11-type commission would have an equal number of people chosen by Democrats and Republicans.
