"Friends" star Matthew Perry detailed the addiction he battled at the height of his fame. He said his co-stars were "understanding" and "patient" with him during his struggles.
"I thought being funny all the time was how I would get through," the 53-year-old actor told People magazine. "I thought ['Friends'] was going to fix everything. It didn't."
