Four months after her late husband’s death, the widow of Matthew Gaudreau has given birth to their first child.
Madeline Gaudreau announced the arrival of son Tripp Matthew Gaudreau in an Instagram post on Sunday, where she shared a photo an infant in a blue onesie reaching out to hold her hand.
In the caption, she called her little one “Mommy & Daddy’s world.”
Matthew Gaudreau and his professional hockey player brother, Johnny Gaudreau, died in late August after an alleged drunk driver ran into the brothers, who were riding bikes after dark at the time.
Suspect Sean M. Higgins was arrested at the scene, where he failed a field sobriety test and told authorities he had drunk between five and six beers earlier that day.
