The quake hit Sonitpur district at 7.51 am and tremors were felt in the entire region, including Meghalaya and northern parts of West Bengal, officials said. It was followed by two more jerks of 4.3 and 4.4 magnitudes at 7.58 am and 8.01 am. The high-intensity earthquake early Wednesday caused damage to houses and buildings with cracks on roads at several places in Assam. No injury or casualty has been reported so far.More Related News
