Maryland is leading the way in creating solutions for the state and the country amid a startling surge in anti-Asian hate crimes nationwide.
"Governor Hogan said to me, ‘It's not enough for me to raise awareness. I want to know what I can do. What else can I do, as governor, in order to try to address these issues?’" Hur told Fox News on Friday. Hur said Hogan, a Republican, contacted him shortly after the deadly shooting in March in Atlanta, where a suspect killed eight people and wounded another during a gun spree at three massage parlors.
