Maruti Suzuki Alto, WagonR, Swift, Dzire, Baleno, others: Automaker to increase vehicle prices in April 2021

The Maruti Suzuki Alto, Maruti Suzuki WagonR, Maruti Suzuki Swift, Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Maruti Suzuki Baleno and Maruti Suzuki Ciaz are among the popular vehicles sold by the automaker.

Maruti Suzuki India today announced that it will increase the prices of its vehicles in April 2021. The price hike will be on the account of a rise in input costs and vary depending on the model. The automobile manufacturer sells vehicles through Arena and Nexa dealerships. Among the models sold through the Arena dealerships are the Maruti Suzuki Alto, Maruti Suzuki S-Presso, Maruti Suzuki Eeco, Maruti Suzuki Celerio, Maruti Suzuki WagonR, Maruti Suzuki Swift, Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza. It sells models like the Maruti Suzuki Ignis, Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Maruti Suzuki XL6 and Maruti Suzuki S-Cross through the Nexa dealerships. "Over the past year, the cost of company's vehicles has been impacted adversely due to increase in various input costs. Hence, it has become imperative for the company to pass on some impact of the above additional cost to customers through a price increase in April 2021," Maruti Suzuki India said in a regulatory filing.
