Twenty years ago on this day, VVS Laxman and Rahul Dravid batted out the entire day of the Kolkata Test to bail India out of trouble and give them an advantage over Australia.
Two decades ago, on this very day, Indian cricket witnessed one of its best chapters when two star batsmen VVS Laxman and Rahul Dravid batted an entire day and stitched together a partnership of 376 to get India out of trouble against Australia in the second Test in Kolkata. India had been bowled out for 171 in the first innings in reply to Australia’s 445 and were asked to follow on.
