Mapping Covid: Nearly a fifth of Indian districts turn green

With a decline in active Covid-19 cases in the country and nearly a fifth of India's districts coming under the category of 'green districts', things seem to be limping back to normalcy after weeks of tragedy caused by the second wave of the pandemic.
Out of the 75 districts in Uttar Pradesh, as many as 70 reported ten or fewer new Covid-19 cases on June 27 in what is a big change from the situation over the last three months. In the last week of May, even as the ferocious second wave primarily caused by the highly infectious Delta variant, was on the retreat in the state, sixty districts were still reporting ten or more cases.More Related News
