Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia inaugurated a health clinic at a Delhi government school in Moti Bagh.
A health clinic at a Moti Bagh Delhi government school that will focus on the physical and mental well-being of students was inaugurated by Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Monday. Additionally, the newly established health clinic will also be offering counselling services to address issues related to the mental well-being of children.
At the inauguration of the health clinic at the Sarvodaya Kanya Vidyalaya, Moti Bagh, the Delhi deputy chief minister said, "I have seen schools in various countries, this concept is not there anywhere."
"Besides providing routine health check-ups to students, the clinics will also offer counselling services to address issues related to the mental well-being of children," he added.
"Every six months, the students will undergo a health check up," said the deputy chief minister further.
The new project of setting up health clinics in schools is along the lines of Delhi government's flagship mohalla clinic.
However, these clinics will be operational only during school hours and will be used exclusively by the student a that school.
