Remember the 10-year-old Manipur girl who went viral after a picture of her attending class while babysitting her sister was shared online? The little one not only received a shoutout from Manipur’s Minister for Power and Forest Biswajit Thongam, but he also assured her family that the child's education expenses would be taken care of until she graduates.
The Manipur minister recently met Meiningsinliu Pamei and her family after a picture of her and her baby sister garnered massive attention online. Biswajit Thongam shared pictures from their meeting and wrote, “The Brave Girl #MeiningsinliuPamei visited my home today along with her parents. We have decided to assist her #Education through a Boarding School & promised her parents that I will be looking after all her expenses till she graduates.”

The minister’s initiative was lauded by netizens on Twitter. “I feel great and inspired by your valuable steps for them. Always pray for your good health and happiness all throughout your abilities towards in needs for the peoples (sic),” a user wrote.
