As reported earlier, Navarasa is a nine-film anthology based on nine human emotions. Mani Ratnam and Jayendra decided to do Navarasa in an attempt to help the film workers in the Tamil industry, who were affected by the novel coronavirus pandemic. The proceeds from the film will help take care of the needs of the film workers.
