Manchester United released an official statement on Sunday's chaotic scenes inside and outside of Old Trafford, saying they will punish fans who committed criminal acts during the protests on Sunday. United's Premier League match against Liverpool was postponed after fans invaded the Old Trafford stadium and stormed the pitch in protest at the club's owners, the Glazer family, on Sunday. The fans were quickly removed by the authorities. However, some of them returned. "The majority of our fans have and will condemn criminal damage, along with any violence towards club staff, police or other fans, and these now become a police matter," United said in a statement.More Related News
