Man who shot Khargone SP during Ram Navami violence held

The MP Police on Friday arrested Mohsin who was accused of shooting the Khargone SP, Siddharth Chaudhary, in the leg during the Khargone violence.
Mohsin, the accused who had shot Khargone Superintendent of Police (SP), Siddharth Chaudhary, in the communal clashes during the Ram Navami procession, was arrested by the police on Friday.
Speaking to India Today, SP Rohit Kashwani said that the accused had been nabbed from Kasrawad town in Khargone in Madhya Pradesh.
After the incident of stone-pelting and arson during the Ram Navami procession, Chaudhary had arrived with his team to control the crowd during which the accused Mohsin is alleged to have shot the Khargone SP in the leg.

The accused has been absconding since the incident. The Madhya Pradesh Police on April 21 had announced a reward of Rs 10,000 each for information leading to the arrest of 106 miscreants wanted in connection with riots during Ram Navami celebrations in Khargone.
On April 10, stones were allegedly pelted at a Ram Navami procession, prompting the police to fire tear gas shells to control the situation. This allegedly triggered communal violence, resulting in arson, in which several vehicles and houses were set ablaze.
