Man kills woman to get out of illicit relationship, arrested

A man was arrested by the Delhi Police for killing a woman to get out of an illicit relationship.
The police arrested a man for murdering a woman in the Mohan Garden Police Station area in Delhi. According to the police, the woman belonged to UP and came to Delhi one week ago to meet her sister-in-law.
On June 23, a PCR call was received at Police Station Mohan Garden regarding a murder near Lal Farm. Local police reached the spot and found a dead body of an unknown lady who was strangulated using her own chunni. A case of murder was registered and the victim was identified.
During the investigation, the police team analyzed CCTV footage near the spot and the CDR of the victim. Informers were also deployed to get any specific information. On the basis of technical and manual surveillance, the team zeroed accused Ajay, a resident of Shahjahanpur, UP, who was in an illicit relationship with the victim.

The team started chasing him on the basis of technical surveillance. Several raids were conducted on his possible hideouts in Delhi and UP. Finally, he was nabbed from the Uttam Nagar area.
The mobile phone of the victim and the clothes worn by the accused at the time of the commission of the crime were recovered from his instance.
During interrogation, it was revealed that the accused came in contact with the victim one year ago, and since then they were in a relationship. From the last few days, the victim started demanding money from him and also threatened him to implicate him in a false case. Thereafter, the accused made a plan to kill her. Last week, the victim arrived in Delhi to meet her sister-in-law. In order to execute his plan, the accused also arrived in Delhi.
