India Today
A man revealed on Twitter that he found shrimp tails inside his cereal box while having breakfast. What happened next has become a trending story on social media.
Imagine you wake up in the morning to eat some cereal for breakfast, and when you open the packet, you find shrimp tails inside it? It won't be a good morning for you then, right? Ummmm @CTCSquares - why are there shrimp tails in my cereal? (This is not a bit) pic.twitter.com/tTjiAdrnVp GUYS - I am not sure I’m ready for another box!!! https://t.co/OxRs5cvZPC Ok, I have sent you a DM. Fair warning, I look different since eating your cereal today. https://t.co/s9tUn2EOD3 pic.twitter.com/6otUwUmrYo Ok, we’ll after further investigation with my eyes, these are cinnamon coated SHRIMP TAILS, you weirdos. I wasn’t all that mad until you now tried to gaslight me? https://t.co/7DmADmoqUt pic.twitter.com/rSLE60pvoy Imagine a universe where I’m like, “Yuck. These are shrimp tails.” Then I re-examine them a few hours later and realize, “Nope. These are just accumulations of sugar.” Okay. So they want me to send them the shrimp tails for a “closer look.” These are obviously shrimp tails, so I will be keeping one as evidence, as I now feel like Sandra Bullock in The Net. Should I take MY shrimp tail to a lab? I’m all-in. pic.twitter.com/QCWuqCKgH6 Also, yes - they want me to be at home for a 3-hour window. I can’t believe this in a real life, publicly traded company. pic.twitter.com/v5fAz2SSyM Also, many of the squares have black marks, and some are dyed red? And yes, I ate a bowl before noticing all this. pic.twitter.com/Y9WWmsTznP For real - someone tell me they aren’t like maggots or bugs. Is it shrimp adjacent? (also just found this weird cinnamon covered pea thing?)I wish this was a joke. pic.twitter.com/7pCs0TJCpv UPDATE: my wife has a stronger stomach than me and checked the OTHER bag in the family pack. This one seems taped up (?) and also appears to include...(I don’t even want to say it)...dental floss. pic.twitter.com/yKPkpx7PWq Stuff like this is all at the bottom of the bag, and what appears to be cooked ONTO some squares. Please be nice with your guesses l, because I will walk into traffic if I ate what I think it is... pic.twitter.com/Zs7ZDygTxA This is also where I’ve currently landed (unfortunately). It makes me want wash my mouth out with acid. But also, it doesn’t explain the weird taped bag. Is there anyone on LA Twitter who can test these black pieces for me? https://t.co/rSS5O6SjOH I JUST SCREAMED INSIDE MY HOUSE https://t.co/0dfUacNgTz Jennifer. I ate a bowl. https://t.co/904KNvl8jo Hey I study crustaceans at the Natural History Museum in LA, those do look a bit like a shrimp's telson & uropods—tail. I would totally love to look at your "specimen" under a microscope, we might even be able to extract DNA to confirm its species or if it's indeed cinnamon sugar I GENUINELY WISH THIS WAS NOT REAL. All day, I’ve tried cognitive dissonance - yet, it is still...real. https://t.co/JuaH8MIlrL SHUT IT DOWN!!! @CTCSquares https://t.co/8dAsycupOo The perfect tweet to end my day. https://t.co/KWCZbQScl1 We’re all thinking it. https://t.co/hum50FjTeQ I think they’ll have notes, Bobby. https://t.co/j9dVWex3rQ This is problematic https://t.co/MsVsHIO3YG I don’t feel “better” about things. https://t.co/b1rFLHW9mz They’re gonna sell more cereal, aren’t they? https://t.co/wld0HlZmG5 AM UPDATE: I feel fine. I am going to get the black stuff tested today, and also going to talk to the Costco. Most importantly, nothing new from General Mills since they asked me to send them the shrimp tails that they had tried to convince me was sugar. Some updates: I am now in touch with a testing lab re: the “black things,” which I will not yet be calling by any other name for my own sanity. Also, a research company will be paying to DNA test the shrimp tail! (2021, y’all) They also are paying for this to be done, which is helpful when a corporation is telling the internet I actually found wads of sugar. So basically, my shrimp got a scholarship. A Twitter user was in for a shock when after eating a bowl of cereal he reached out for a second serving. When he was taking the cereal out of the box, a shrimp tail popped out. The man's story has gone viral on Twitter, and the events that followed the discovery has netizens on the edge of their seat.More Related News
