
Man dies after shooting believed to be targeted in northwest Toronto

A man has died in what police believe was a targeted shooting in northwest Toronto on Monday night.
The gunfire happened outdoors in the area of Jane Street and Black Creek Trail. Toronto Police received a call about 8:35 p.m.
Police said callers reported hearing shots in the area. When officers arrived, they found a man with gunshot wounds.
Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.
The victim has not been identified, according to Duty Insp. Paul Krawczyk of the Toronto Police Service.
"We believe this to be an isolated incident," Krawczyk told reporters. There's no word on yet suspect information.
The homicide unit is expected to take over the investigation.
Police appealed to anyone with dashboard camera or cell phone video that may be relevant to come forward.
