A 71-year-old man is dead and three teenage boys were arrested after a stabbing in Fredericton on Friday night.
The man was taken to Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, where he later died, Fredericton police said in a news release Saturday.
Officers responded around 11 p.m. Friday to a report of a fight on Union Street and found the senior critically injured, the release said.
They arrested three teenagers, including one who had fled the scene. Charges have yet to be laid, police spokesperson Sonya Gilks said Saturday, but two 17-year-olds remain in custody pending court appearances and a 15-year-old was released.
