Man beheads daughter in UP's Hardoi, walks to police station with chopped head

Panic gripped the area when locals noticed Sarvesh Kumar of Pandetara village walking towards Majhila police station with his daughter's severed head.

In a bizarre incident, a man beheaded his 17-year-old daughter and reached the police station with her chopped head in Uttar Pradesh's Hardoi district on Wednesday. According to police, Sarvesh took the step since he was irked over his daughter's alleged affair with a youth whom he disliked. He had decided to teach his daughter a lesson after finding them in a compromising position two days ago. On Wednesday, Sarvesh, a vegetable vendor, found his daughter alone in the house and beheaded her with a sharp-edged weapon.
