Man attacked by four assailants in TN, probe points to gang rivalry

A man sustained injuries after four men attacked him in Tamil Nadu's Coimbatore district. The initial probe revealed gang rivalry to be the reason behind the attack.
A man was attacked by four assailants outside his residence in Tamil Nadu's Coimbatore on Thursday. The incident was caught on camera.
The man identified as Katchan was reportedly attacked by four bike-borne assailants in Ratnapuri. The assailants fled the spot when people in the neighborhood stepped out after hearing a commotion outside their homes.
Katchan was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital after sustaining injuries and local residents informed the police.

Three teams were deployed under the guidance of officer Ramesh Kanna and based on the initial probe it was found that the four involved in the act were Pulli Praveen, Gopi, Mitai Karthik and Pradeep.
The attack was allegedly carried out due to local gang rivalry. The question of who is the bigger 'don' in the region reportedly led to the attack on Katchan. Two more people involved in the act are missing and a manhunt is on for the two.
