West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Saturday appealed to the central government 'with folded hands' to withdraw the letter recalling her state's chief secretary Alapan Bandyopadhyay. Bandyopadhyay was recalled by the central government and deputed to the Ministry of Public Grievances and Pensions on Friday evening. This came a few hours after CM Banerjee arrived thirty minutes late to a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the impact of Cyclone Yaas. "Please don't indulge in such dirty politics," Banerjee said at a press conference on Saturday.More Related News
