Mallikarjun Kharge Joins Contest For New Congress Chief: Sources

Mallikarjun Kharge is the latest to join the contest for Congress president as the likely "official" candidate backed by the Gandhis, said sources.

Mr Kharge, a Congress veteran and the Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha, is the third candidate in the contest along with Digvijaya Singh and Shashi Tharoor.
