Comedian and actress Mallika Dua’s mother Dr Padmavati Dua, died after a prolonged battle with Covid-19. Mallika shared the news on her Instagram handle. Padmavati, popularly known as Chinna Dua, was admitted to Gurgaon’s Medanta Hospital on May 14. Her husband, journalist Vinod Dua, was also in the same hospital. Padmavati had shared a post on her Instagram handle where she had shared the update with her followers. On Saturday morning, Mallika Dua took to Instagram to share the news. "She left us last night. My whole heart. My whole life. The only god I know. My Amma I'm sorry I couldn't save you. You fought so hard my mama. My precious. My heart. You're my whole life,” she wrote.
